James Lipton, host of the Actor’s  Studio, has Mitt Romney pegged to a tee.  In the video below, James gives Mitt advice on how to Act Human.  Way too funny.  And Willie Geist, host of Way Too Early on MSNBC looks good too.

Mitt Romney, a Man Without Integrity?

What is the single most important trait in a President?  Integrity. How can you trust a person who seems to have none? There are a few things about Mitt Romney that give me pause, but this is the biggest.

Mitt Romney is not like us.
Mitt appears to have no social skills at all. He doesn’t seem to be able to relate to normal people, the things he says seem to come from a different decade. Marvelous budget? Who says stuff like that? It’s like listening to dialogue from movies made in the 1940’s and 1950’s. What planet has he been living on for the past 50 years that would cause him to use expressions so old, so out of touch?

Mitt Romney doesn’t care about the 99%.
The statements that Mitt has made on the campaign trail make it clear how he would govern this country if elected. “Corporations are people too.” “Planned Parenthood, I’m going to do away with that.” “I like firing people who provide me services.” There have been dozens of similar statements, but just those three statements say it all. Mitt’s plan is to continue, if not escalate the current Republican Tea Party philosophy of giving to the top 1% and getting rid of the social safety net that has protected the 99% for decades. You think the middle class is disappearing now? If Mitt Romney gets elected, you better grab a life boat.

Mitt and Anne Romney give off a sense of entitlement.
I wonder if they understand what type of image you should be putting forth to the electorate while running for the Presidency. Their actions are so entitled. Building a mega mansion in La Jolla, with a car elevator, during a Presidential campaign? Anne Romney wearing a $990 designer shirt (Reed Krakoff) for a television interview?

Mitt Romney, the flip-flopper.
Have you ever seen a person that has been on so many sides of so many issues? Don’t worry, you’ll see enough video during the upcoming campaign that it will make your stomach turn. Mitt, have you ever heard of video tape?

Mitt Romney lies, all the time.
He stands up in front of hundreds, maybe thousands of people and just lies. His   campaign staff must cringe every time he steps on stage. You can’t spin some of this stuff, it gives the Obama campaign hours and hours of video to use against him. The thing that gives me pause is that he lies with a straight face. If we can’t trust our own President, how will world leaders trust him? Will he lie with a straight face to them? Where is this man’s conscience? I have written posts about Mitt’s lying before, Rachel Maddow and Jennifer Granholm have documented many of his lies very well:

Mitt Romney is a man without conscience or integrity.
Now this week we discover that Mitt Romney was a bully in high school. I must say, I’m not really surprised, he gives off that air of superiority, like he’s better than the rest of us and the rules don’t apply to him. He doesn’t seem to have any compassion for other people. Even when confronted with his heinous past behavior, what does he do? He laughs. He can’t remember the incident, but how is it he can remember that he didn’t think the “fellow” (there’s that antiquated language again) was a homosexual. With 5 witnesses coming forward, among them an attorney, a dentist and a school Principal, still haunted by the incident, why doesn’t Mitt have the integrity to own up and take responsibility for his actions?

Even worse, if he really doesn’t remember, what does that say about him? Who could forget an incident that has tortured 6 other people for their whole lives? Enough said.

Gringo’s Just Don’t Get It

Marc o RubioSo, the Associated Press reported the other day that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) is pushing for a Republican version of the DREAM Act.  Good luck with that.  Sen. Rubio is also a potential Vice Presidential pick for the upcoming presidential election.  Again, good luck with that.  So why do I make that statement; and why does it matter.

I’m sure that everyone is pretty much aware that the Republican Party is in deep trouble with the Hispanic voting bloc, almost all 21 million eligible voters.  Given the tone of anti-immigration talk that the Republican Party has been throwing about the last couple of years, can you blame them?  Sen. Rubio is working diligently to enhance his standing in the party to better his odds for a spot on the Republican ticket.  But a little reported issue within the Hispanic voting bloc stands in Rubio’s way, and it has the potential of making this VP selection imitate the Palin embarrassment.

Not to be condescending, but you Gringos just don’t get it.  Seen one Latino, seen them all. Not so I say.  Just ask a Salvadorian, a Nicaraguan, a Puerto Rican, a Mexican and the list goes on; as all the “Hispanic” nationalities have individual national pride and identity.  But most Gringos’ have the habit of just lumping them all together as Hispanics or Latinos.  As a Mexican-American that once lived in Florida, let me tell you it’s a bad idea to view the Hispanic vote as just one large voting bloc to corral. Republicans should listen up.

Besides Sen. Rubio’s obvious pandering to Latinos proposing his new and shiny version of the DREAM Act.  The larger issue is that he is of Cuban decent.  Why does that matter.  Because of the deep-seated resentment from the Hispanic community against the Cubans that is immeasurable.  Not many people are aware that the illegal Cuban immigrant is the only foreign national that has a special immigration status and residency pathway. The “Wet foot, Dry Foot” policy, the Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966, revised in 1995 provides for any Cuban that makes it to shore (“dry feet”) is allowed to remain in the United States.  All other illegal immigrants get a one-way ticket back to where ever they came from.  Do you get it now?  This has been a slow simmering issue with Latinos for some time now, just not discussed as openly as it should be, or maybe it will be if Sen. Rubio’s dreams are realized.

The 2008 election saw the Latino vote go 67-31 percent in favor of President Obama and favored Democrats 60-38 percent in the congressional race.  If Sen. Rubio is on the 2012 ticket, I’m guessing that the Republicans will pick up maybe another 500,000 votes, all from Miami, no big surprise, and not much of a gain to move the percentage points in the Republican column.  Do you get it now?  In all fairness I have to say that neither party has done anything measurable to solve the immigration problem in this country.  But now its election season, just watch them all scramble with more unfulfilled promises, should be entertaining.

Chaos erupts on Morning Joe – Peggy Noonan Clueless

Hey Peggy, you think it was a sacrifice for Anne Romney to stay home instead of going to work?  Nothing Anne Romney does has much sacrifice involved.

Do you think that Anne Romney had the same stay at home mom experience as the one I would have had, had I not been forced to work?  Did Anne Romney’s stay at home experience include all of these things:

  • Not being able to afford a baby sitter so you can get away for an hour or two?
  • Doing laundry?
  • Housework?
  • Grocery Shopping
  • Cooking breakfast, fixing lunches and cooking dinner?
  • Doing dishes?
  • Paying bills?
  • Bathing children?
  • Putting children to bed at night?
Now imagine working 8 hours a day and still having to complete all those tasks. That’s what us working mothers go through everyday, if you ask me that is a far greater sacrifice than staying home with your housekeeper, nanny, cook and chauffeur.

Like I said yesterday and again today.  Any experience that Anne Romney and I share are never going to be the same.  I know she has had health struggles, god bless her for getting through it, but if I had had the same health struggles, do you think our experiences would have been the same?  Do you think she had to stress and worry about doctor bills, hospital bills, insurance deductibles and whether or not to pay your rent or buy your prescriptions?  I don’t think so.

The original point that Hillary Rosen was trying to make is that Anne Romney has not had any of the struggles of the 99% and should not be referenced by her husband in stump speeches as “knowing what the American women care about.”

And FYI Peggy, the Democrats did not start the War on Women, the Republicans started it with the legislation they have put forth all over this country in every state with a Republican Governor and in the US House of Representatives.

The Democrats did not name it the War on Women, American women named it the War on Women.  We are driving this train, not the Democratic Party.

Lena C. Taylor, Wisconsin State Senator and Nina Turner, Ohio State SenatorYou have to watch these two wonderful women, Senator Lena Taylor of Wisconsin and Senator Nina Turner of Ohio. Once again the Republicans put Corporations over Women.

This is our call to action women, we need to come together and vote out all Republican that currently holds State or Federal Elected office.  These men are so arrogant they think they can force us to do anything and we will just lie down and take it.  Not in this Country and not in this Century!

Our vote counts, there are more of us then there are of them. Come on women, join us in this life changing effort.
